Is there any way of writing to my NTFS hdd via SUSE 9?

cause i cant copy anything to any of my NTFS hdd's and my SUSE manual states that in linux NTFS partitions are only read only and that you can not write to them.

there is a way to enable writing for NTFS partitions, but it requires you to recompile the kernel. Have a look through your package manager for a package called Captive-NTFS or the like. It uses a wrapper and ntfs.dll to read/write to and from ntfs partitions with 100% compatibility.
